This week between August 13-14, Viridian Weapon Technologies will be featuring the FACT Duty Weapon-Mounted Camera (WMC™) at the Midwest Security and Police Conference Expo (MSPCE). FACT DUTY WMC The FACT Duty WMC is an advanced weapon-mounted digital camera designed to capture critical evidence. In tandem with its integrated 500-lumen tactical light (and on some models a tactical laser), the WMC uses its 1080p full-HD camera to provide a clear view of any critical use-of-force events from the firearm. WMC Instant on The inclusion of Viridian’s INSTANT-ON technology ensures the capture of any critical use-of-force evidence The FACT Duty WMC boasts many advantages over a traditional body and dash cams including INSTANT-ON® technology. As soon as the officer draws their weapon from its holster both the camera and microphone are activated. This eliminates the risk of an officer failing to manually turn on the camera before a critical event. Both Body cameras and Dashcams were not designed to capture officer-involved shootings, while Viridians WMC’s are specifically designed for when an officers weapon is drawn.
