Meet the Team
Brian Hedeen
President/CEO
Brian co-founded Viridian Weapon Technologies in 2006. The company became the first in the world to design and sell a compact green laser sight product for pistols and small firearms, changing the industry forever. Headquartered in the Minneapolis, MN metro area, Viridian continues to design compact, powerful, self-defense products for the civilian, military and law enforcement markets. Viridian is known as the leader in weapon-mounted technology and is responsible for a number of firearm innovations along with green and red laser sights, including the recently introduced Weapon-Mounted Camera.
Prior to founding Viridian, Brian had several roles in the commercial banking industry. Brian is a Twin Cities native and enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He also enjoys an active lifestyle including running, downhill and trail mountain biking, downhill skiing and especially wakesurfing.
Matthew Plowman, J.D.
General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer
Matthew has been with the company since 2015 and is in charge of all company legal matters, including intellectual property, compliance and government relations. Matt is integrally involved in our Law Enforcement sales as a resource for agencies and municipalities with expertise in government procurement, jurisdictional requirements for evidentiary recording devices, and evidence program implementation.
Matthew is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Minnesota's William Mitchell College of Law and Gustavus Adolphus College. Prior to joining Viridian, Matthew spend several years as a commercial litigation attorney with a large Minneapolis law firm and prior to that was in the insurance industry. Matthew and his wife, Lisa, have three children and reside in Minneapolis. Matthew is an avid runner who has completed several marathons and is a passionate and knowledgeable (although often disappointed) fan of all major sports.
Kevin Skalicky
National LE Sales Manager
Kevin has been with the Viridian team since 2019 and has spent his entire career working in the shooting sports industry. His experience with sales, merchandising and management greatly contributes to leading our Law Enforcement sales team in successfully implementing FACT Duty Gun Cameras with departments nationwide. Kevin’s passion for serving our Law enforcement customers stems from his many friends and family that work in public safety.
Kevin joined Viridian in early 2018 and focuses on serving our Public Safety customers both domestically and abroad. He and his team help law enforcement agencies utilize Viridian’s industry-leading Weapon-Mounted Camera solution to protect officers and build stronger relationship with their communities. Kevin has worked in the shooting sports industry for 15 years and remains passionate about the outdoors. As a lifelong Minnesota resident, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, while catching fish on the many lakes in the area. Kevin also logs many miles mountain biking with friends and invests in the community by volunteering with local youth programs.
